Project Summary
In collaboration with Colliers, Delv Design, and Katz, Sapper & Miller, Burnside completed a multi-floor headquarters renovation within an occupied office building. The project was delivered through a GMP contract structure, allowing for transparency, careful budget management, expectations, and informed decision-making throughout the process. The scope included coordination across multiple floors, including structural slab openings for five new floor penetrations—two of which included new stairs connecting three floors. The project required careful planning, daily coordination with building operations and project stakeholders, and detailed scheduling while occupants remained in the building.
Skills Involved:
Demolition, major MEP upgrades, structural coordination, and high-end office buildout across multiple floors. Burnside managed a wide range of interior trades, including carpentry, custom millwork, glass/glazing, flooring systems, ceiling finishes, and architectural details. Burnside also coordinated with the design team, building ownership, and tenant representatives to maintain schedule, control costs, and minimize disruption within an occupied environment.
